Which types of governance get success on handling Covid-19 better?

It might be thought that the authoritarian governments supply more adequate ground to handle virus with low loss as a kind of solution oriented governance in comparison with democratic governances. There is a dilemma in this case, because in these extraordinary days democratic states try to get some permanent solutions by making distinct rule to cope with covid-19. To clarify, although authoritarian governmental system has been criticized by democratic regimes, they take these authoritarian regimes as an example in nowadays. That means there are a majority who against to authoritarian governance as supplying state order and continuity, they use their methods to get rid of the coronavirus as soon as possible.

I am with the claim that the authoritarian government is more successful against democratic governments in preventing the virus. It is known as authoritarian governments are oppressive, strict and dominant. Therefore, their policies against the corona virus encountered due to this management technique give positive results. In a short period of time, decreases are observed in the cases, and then the disease is totally disappear. The early completion of this process causes certain advantages, for example, vaccine production can be started earlier than other states, the national economy and social life can be saved without any serious damage. In short, an authoritarian administration with strict rules let the society will follow and will save the health system, its economic existence, and more importantly, the level of welfare of the society with the least damage.

Authoritarian governance supplies a concrete ground for what to do or what shouldn’t be done for society during the process of covid-19. For example, think about social distancing issue among people. In authoritarian states there is a serious rule to be in quarantine for about 14-30 days which saves people from any possibility of spreading virus. There is serious sanctions to a person who doesn't obey the rule as some kind of punishment, so this causes society fears from governance and accepts all the rule. It is also about the performance of authoritarian state, because they decide their policies during extreme conditions quickly.

Moreover, because of their strict rules, society abstains from stockpiling such as they cannot take much from the same product which supplies equality among citizens. Consider ABD, there is an attack from society to have more product against any bad situation in coming days as hoarder, which caused lacking product for the whole society (Al Jazeera, 2020).

Furthermore, they reach the concrete and advantageous consequences when the virus ends because they implement very strict and problem-based policies to fight with the pandemic. To give an example, their economy wont be affected as much the democratic governance affected because the society can handle the virus in a very short period by obeying the strict rules given from authoritarian government. To clarify, they can easily resume their normal life.

Also, this early completion of the virus makes them an example for other states which become the hope to find solution of rescuing covid-19. That is to say, they can be a model by their policies and beside it they can constitute the scientific solution for the cases as medicine or vaccination. Also they can obtain themselves to grading the infected ones as in what percentage he lives or dies. It is a bad situation to decide one’s life because of the wrong or late precautions. Thus, with their strict rule, authoritarian states are not forced to decide one’s life decision.
